On-site & On-farm Tours

The Tobacco Farm Life Museum offers a variety of experiences for students of all ages, providing an informative insight into early 20th century farm family life. Through numerous educational programs, the museum encourages participants to discover and appreciate the personal heritage that belongs to each of them.

Open year-round for tours, we offer a large, easily-accessible, shaded picnic area, a covered stage, convenient bus parking, and special tours for groups.

To make your trip more enjoyable, we require advance reservations for groups of ten or more. Depending on the time of year, the museum may be scheduling more than one group on a given day so advance scheduling assures you priority attention.

Teacher / Student Packets
Through modern advances in technology, teacher / student packets are available exclusively on-line. Teachers and students may use any of the PDF files below, and we encourage educators to share them with their classes before and after their visit. Because class abilities rarely coincide with age groups today, we leave the choice of which information to use to the teacher. In general, the available files range from third to eighth grade. To view these files, you will need Acrobat Reader.
