About the event

Have you ever wanted to craft art or tools with a hammer and steel? Join us for our Introductory Blacksmithing Class. Only for students over 18 years of age.

September 23, 10am to 2pm. Cost: $25 Class size is limited to 5 people and you must register by September 16th.

Each student will learn the basics of blacksmithing and apply it same day to forge a nail to take home. Tools and safety glasses will be provided.

Students will learn: lighting a forge and fire maintenance, anatomy of the anvil, tools used such as hammers, tongs, anvil accessories, etc. and how to know metal temps by color.
