Hinnant, Senie Scott
October 15, 1907 - November 23, 1991
Senie Scott Hinnant, daughter of Robert Lee "Bob" Scott and Emma Holland Scott, was born in Wayne County. She married Blenn Hinnant on April 16, 1927 and they moved to Kenly in 1939.
They had two sons, Harold of Kenly and Rudolph, of High Point, five grandchildren; Mike, Marian, Alan, Suzanne, Greg and five great grandchildren.
Mrs. Hinnant devoted much of her time to community organizations, and her church. She was active in the local and district Methodist Woman's Society. She was chairman of Kenly Cemetery Committee for several years, active in Kenly Garden Club and the Johnston County Tuberculosis Association. For many years Mrs. Hinnant was social news reporter for the Smithfield, Wilson, Goldsboro, Selma and Kenly newspapers.
