Scott, Linwood Harding

Born: September 13, 1921
Married: January 4, 1947
Children: Linwood H. "Sonny" Scott and Edith Ann Scott
Grandchildren: Linwood Harding Scott, III and Dewey Robert Scott

Linwood served in the U. S. Army during World War II, at Guadalcanal in the Quartermaster Corps.

After World War II, he and his wife farmed in Wilson County. He was active in his community being a member of the St. Mary's Young Farmers Club from its beginning.

Linwood enjoyed the freedom of his farm life and being outdoors. His children were his life. He and his son, Sonny, farmed together which gave him great pleasure. In fact, his farms are still tended by his sons and grandsons.
