Stone, Elvin V.

In Honor of Elvin V. Stone

Tobacco Farm Life Museum Weekend Director
June 1986 — September 1994

Elvin V. Stone faithfully and diligently served the Tobacco Farm Life Museum for more than eight years, both as the Weekend Director and an avid, dedicated supporter. His volunteerism contributed to all facets of the museum's operations during its formative years and later as it matured. Elvin demonstrated his firm belief in the museum's philosophy, "Let us, before we die, gather up our heritage, the history of our beloved South, and present it to our children and their children after them." His intense interests and expansive knowledge about the museum's topics and collection made him an invaluable asset that will be missed.

This page was given in Elvin's Honor with sincere appreciation and love by Rudy and June Kirby Jones on behalf of the Board of Directors of the Tobacco Farm Life Museum, January, 1995.
