Sarah Jane Hales Atkinson 1958-1940

Abednego and Sarah Jane were children of the Civil War and the Reconstruction years. Married in 1876, America's Centennial Year, they lived and farmed in the Glendale community (Beulah Township), as had four previous generations of Abednego's family. They were good stewards of the land, comfortably sustaining themselves and successfully rearing eleven children:
