Stepping into the Past Saturday Series

Just another benefit to spending a Saturday with us!

One Saturday a month we have demonstrations and displays of traditional arts, crafts, and trades right here on site and included with your regular admission. 

Activities take place from 10 am-2 pm (unless otherwise noted) on the following Saturdays in 2019. 

February 9 - Food Processing: Hog Killing Demonstration (activities from 8am-11am)

March 9 - Working the Land: Antique tractor displays/Farmer Appreciation Day

April 13 - Capturing Our Past: Painting class (requires advanced registration and a fee to cover materials)

May 11 - Broom Making: Wisk broom making class (requires advanced registration and a fee to cover materials)

June 14-15 - Endless Yard Sale: Johnston County Endless Yard Sale

July 13 - 'Fabric Arts Class: Quilting Class (requires advanced registration and a fee to cover materials

August 10 - 'Baccer Stringin' & Tyin': Demonstrations of preparing tobacco for curing and selling and auctioneering

September 14 - Capturing Our Past: Painting Class (requires advanced registration and a fee to cover materials)

October 12 - Traditional Activities: Butter Making and Candle Making

November 9 - BBQ Cook Off Challenge - BBQ and Family fun activities

December 6 (Friday) - Candle Light Tour: Candle light tour of the grounds, Santa's Workshop

December 7 - Kenly Christmas on Main: Holiday decor and activities in Downtown Kenly
