The Tobacco Farm Life Museum has been highlighting celebrities and other famous people who have connections to farming either in their early life before fame or who have used their fame and fortune to establish farms or ranches. The Museum's goal for this social media series has been to show how pervasive agriculture is and how many lives it touches, including those you wouldn't normally expect.
We have highlighted people from United States Presidents, including George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Jimmy Carter, to pop and country music stars, such as Carrie Underwood and Martina McBride, to actors, including Tom Selleck, Eva Longoria, and more.
Some of our favorites that we've shared include North Carolina natives such as actor Zach Galifianakis, evangelist Billy Graham, and actress Ava Gardner.
Keep an eye out on our Facebook page or Instagram for more #FarmingFame posts. Let us know if there is a farming celebrity you would like to see profiled.
